The Boys on the couch

The picture on the left is Bailey at 1 and Bosley at 8 weeks. They are so darn cute! Of course Bosley grew to be the horse I never had but always wanted. I'm not really sure what mix of breeds Bailey has in him, Bosley is a German Shorthaired pointer. His only ticking is on his chest...he's a handsome fellow. The picture on the right: They don't even care that they were busted! I walked in the front door, and this is what I saw. With camera close by, as always...I captured the shot. Priceless.

Bosley and Me

Posted by Picasa If Bosley had a cigar and a smoking jacket, he would look even more stately than he already believes that he is. Bosley was going to be my dear husband's hunting dog.....until we found out that not only is Bosley terrified to be outside of his yard, he thinks he should love everything with fur and feathers. We took him out once...when he was let out of the truck ....he planted his butt on the ground and wouldn't move. It was like someone super glued him to the ground...he was not budging. So much for hunting. We returned home and he was grateful to be home in his own yard with his squirrels, geese, ducks and deer...whom he loves dearly. My Bosley...the worst German Shorthaired Pointer hunter ever! It may be my fault, no actually it is my fault...but I just couldn't resist kissing that big brown nose of his and giving him toys that consisted of squirrels, geese and ducks. I'm still looking for that stuffed play deer.

Healthy Dog treat tips

Here's a few tips that will make you say...
"Ill be doggone!"
Did you know that a pound of cooked chicken (boiled) is a cheaper and more healthy treat for your dog than store bought treats? Did you know that dogs LOVE frozen carrots...especially when they are pups and teething? Cooked Roast beef...NO seasonings...is better for your dog than store bought treats used as training treats? Frozen chicken broth mixed with water aka pupsickles are a summertime favorite for you dog.

Bosley & Bailey

My two dogs. Mutt and Jeff is what their names should have been. Bosley,(shown on the right at 4 months) now a 85lb German Shorthaired Pointer that looks like a large Hershey candy bar, and is by far as sweet as one, and Bailey, (shown on the left at 1 year, playing with Bosley) is my little 30lb redheaded stray, who is the sweetest dog ever, yes, even more than Bosley. Both were pups when they came to us. Bosley came a year after Bosley. Bosley use to be able to walk under Bailey's belly, now Bailey walks under Bosley's belly. Bosley is now 2, and certainly mirrors a typical 2 year old child. He's so bad! Now I'm not saying all 2 year old children are bad, just mischievous. I love children, I'm waiting on grandchildren. That's another story for down the road. Bailey, the red head, is 3, and is nothing but sweet and oh so submissive. All you want to do is hug him all the time. Since they were pups, I've lost 5 pair of shoes, one pair of boots, 3 bras (what's up with that?), two coffee tables,(they love legs, not just chicken legs, I'm talking solid wood table legs) 2 screen doors, a remote control, a phone and the handle off of our wheelbarrow. The latest, a cushion from my deck chair. They must have had a grand time playing tug of war with that. With all the white stuffing strewed in my back yard, it looked like it snowed. I wonder which one started the game and dog gone it, who won?!
